Jayo Archer’s cause of death: What happened to star rider?

Jayo Archer joined an elite group of just three riders worldwide who have successfully executed a triple backflip on a dirtbike.

Jayden “Jayo”Archer, a well-known figure in the freestyle motorcycle community and a skilled athlete, tragically passed away last month while attempting a trick in Melbourne.

The 27-year-old rider, who successfully performed a triple backflip in a competition, fell unconscious while practicing the stunt during a rehearsal session.

“Archer, who was affiliated with Nitro Circus, the adrenaline-fueled sports company, was known for pushing the limits of what was possible on dirt bikes and achieving heights that had never been reached before.”

The Tragic Passing of Jayo Archer

He spent years collaborating with Nitro Circus, experimenting with innovative bike stunts. In 2022 at the Nitro World Games, he successfully executed the first ever triple backflip in a competition.

This displayed his determination to advance the sport of motocross. Archer played a crucial role in shaping Australian motocross and was a key member of Nitro Circus, the action sports company founded by Travis Pastrana.

Despite the lack of external motivation, he was recognized for his efforts in propelling the evolution of freestyle motocross during that time.

After Jayo’s passing, Travis Pastrana honored his career and displayed empathy towards his loss.

“This really hit home,”Pastrana told ESPN. “Jayo grew up in a time when action sports was at its biggest, and he always wanted to do the big stuff like the double and the triple, even though there weren’t a lot of places to showcase those bigger tricks.

“He’d get up every morning at 4 a.m. and go to the gym before work so he could ride his dirt bike. When he came to Maryland to train, he stayed at my house and was an incredible role model to my kids. He was a great human first, a hard worker second and a bad motherf—er third.”

The Nitro Circus company also honored Jayo Archer’s journey by sharing a post on their official Instagram account:

In addition to the heartfelt tribute written by motocross legend Jayden Archer’s girlfriend, she also shared a heartwarming Instagram post a few days after his passing. The post, which detailed their future plans together, touched the hearts of many fans and left them in tears.

“You would never let anything happen to me, you loved your family more than anything, your morals were incredible. You wanted to have a family, we were supposed to have those twins, we were supposed to get married, I’m so sorry we didn’t reach those things you would have been the most incredible dad.”

Jayo Archer’s exceptional accomplishments and dedication will continue to be remembered by the global motocross community.
