Investigation Underway for Trespassing at BTS Jungkook’s Residence

The Yongsan Police are currently examining incidents involving a Japanese woman in her 50s, who allegedly attempted to trespass at the home of Jungkook, a member of the globally renowned K-pop group BTS, on several occasions over a recent three-day period.

Authorities confirmed on Wednesday that the woman, who remains unnamed, is under investigation following multiple attempts to breach the security of Jungkook’s residence in Yongsan-gu. This series of events transpired from November 12 to November 14, during which the suspect reportedly attempted to unlock the digital keypad at the entrance to the property.

According to reports, a formal complaint was lodged with the police on Friday, marking the culmination of the series of attempts. For further details, refer to Korea Joongang Daily.

Continuing Concerns Over Security Breaches

This latest incident adds to a disconcerting trend of security violations at Jungkook’s home following his discharge from military service in June 2025. Over the past several months, he has faced repeated instances of unauthorized individuals attempting to access his residence.

Previous Incidents of Trespassing

The first notable security breach occurred on the very day Jungkook completed his military service. A woman in her 30s, seeking to see the star, was apprehended after a failed entry attempt. She had allegedly been trying various codes to unlock the door and was subsequently charged with attempted trespassing. After an investigation, she was granted a suspended prosecution and returned to her home country shortly thereafter, as reported by Yonhap News.

Furthermore, another incident occurred on August 30, when a woman in her 40s was caught trespassing in the underground parking area of Jungkook’s home. Eyewitnesses reported that she had followed another vehicle into the garage and attempted to escape upon the arrival of police. Her perplexing excuse for entering — that it was a “friend’s house”— did little to convince authorities.

During a live stream celebration on September 1, Jungkook revealed that he had witnessed the chaotic parking lot incident through surveillance footage.“I was watching everything from home. When the police arrived, she tried to run out of the basement car park in a panic, ”he shared, reflecting his displeasure with the ongoing threats to his privacy.

A Call for Respect and Privacy

Frustrated by these invasions, the 28-year-old artist reaffirmed his right to privacy and issued a clear warning to any would-be intruders.

The investigation into the recent trespassing attempts is ongoing, as police plan to interview Jungkook to gather additional facts and determine subsequent legal actions.
