S Tier Characters

Ichigo Kurosaki (Bankai) SSR / Slash / Full Assault

This limited banner character is a variant of the Bleach protagonist and stands out as the game’s top damage dealer. His ultimate ability is remarkably powerful, enabling him to execute counterattacks, inflict extra damage, reset skill cooldowns for consecutive turns, and gain substantial resistance to being interrupted.

Kisuke Urahara SSR / Slash / Support

While Ichigo (Bankai) is unmatched in damage output, Kisuke’s role as a support character is indispensable. His ultimate grants a significant combat buff to the team’s critical damage, and his own attacks deal a hefty 300% damage upon activating his ultimate.

Kaname Tosen SSR / Thrust / Tactic

As the best Tactic character at launch, Kaname Tosen holds the title for the most effective crowd control ability. His ultimate generates an area-of-effect (AoE) attack that draws enemies in, deals substantial damage, and debuffs them for continuous damage over time while restoring his skill energy and cooldowns.

Byakuya Kuchiki SSR / Slash / Tactical

Byakuya, while not a direct counterpart to Ichigo (Bankai), excels as a Tactic unit. His abilities greatly enhance his damage output, making him a valuable contributor to the team, even if he’s not the primary attacker.

A Tier Characters

Yoruichi Shihoin SSR / Strike / Full Assault

Specializing in delivering concentrated damage to a single opponent, Yoruichi is well-suited for taking down bosses. Her ultimate ability inflicts nearly 500% damage instantly, followed by a 10-second buff that increases her damage while allowing her special moves to not consume spiritual pressure.

Sergeant Komamura SSR / Strike / Tactic

Known for his unique wolflike appearance, Sajin’s ultimate summons Kokujo Tengen Myo-oh, an enormous entity that enhances his damage output while protecting him from defeat, albeit at the cost of losing dodging and countering abilities.

Ikkaku Madarame SSR / Thrust / Full Assault

Ikkaku serves as a solid alternative to Ichigo (Bankai), although Thrust characters are generally less potent than their Slash counterparts. He still possesses valuable abilities like a 14-second attack damage boost following his ultimate.

Rukia Kuchiki SR / Spirit / Tactic

Rukia, one of the few Spirit specialists available at launch, utilizes frost-based attacks in AoE, dealing significant damage and incapacitating foes. This makes her a prime choice for crowd control and as a secondary damage dealer, particularly satisfying for free-to-play players.

Yachiru Kusajishi SR / Slash / Support

Yachiru is highly rated among SR-rarity units and is available as a log-in bonus on the second day of play. Her ultimate delivers a powerful damage burst while bolstering fellow Slash specialists, particularly effective if she exits the field after using her ability.

Although not the strongest fighter, Orihime excels as the only focused shield/healer available in the game.| Image credit: Nuverse / Crunchyroll

B Tier Characters

Uryu Ishida SR / Thrust / Tactic

Uryu, often associated with healing in the series, instead features an AoE attack dealing solid damage along a straight line when his ultimate is activated.

Orihime Inoue SR / Spirit / Support

Taking on a supportive role, Orihime can shield teammates from negative status effects and offer low-level healing for the entire team, serving as the go-to healer in the early game.

Renji Abarai SR / Thrust / Full Assault

Similar to Byakuya’s damage, Renji’s ultimate boasts an impressive attack but lacks follow-up buffs or support options compared to his compatriot.

Ichigo Kurosaki (Shikai) SR / Slash / Full Assault

This form of Ichigo serves as a mid-tier option, providing a blend of abilities that make him a more appealing alternative to his Initial variant but lacking the advanced perks of the SSR version.

C Tier Characters

While characters in the C Tier aren’t necessarily deficient, they also don’t offer much advantage in the overall game meta. The starting character, Ichigo Kurosaki (Initial), falls into this category, fulfilling basic combat duties without standing out.

The remaining characters here include Nemu Kurotsuchi, Yasutora Sado (also known as Chad), and Ururu Tsumugiya. All of these are SR-ranked, which is typical for lower-tier characters in gacha games, and they represent varied roles within the support and assault classes. Forming a team with C Tier characters is feasible; however, players will miss out on the powerful ultimates found in higher tiers.
