The discussion surrounding specific high-profile WWE matches and their results remains significant, including The Undertaker’s defeat to Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 30.

Despite its iconic status, few anticipated The Undertaker losing his first WrestleMania match after 21 consecutive victories against Brock Lesnar.

It was believed by many that the Deadman’s undefeated streak at the Show of Shows would never come to an end, or that it would be given to a younger and less-established wrestler in need of a boost. However, to the surprise of many, WWE chose to push Brock Lesnar for the job and even Dutch Mantell was taken aback when The Beast Incarnate defeated The Phenom.

Upon reflection, Mantell acknowledged that The Undertaker, being a creation of Vince McMahon, was not expected to have his streak broken. Yet, Dutch noted that the aftermath of the unexpected WrestleMania 30 moment ultimately became iconic.

“Well, even without the newfound information, I still don’t think he should have lost. Because I said, since he was a Vince McMahon invention, I didn’t think it would ever be lost. But what a reaction it got from the fans. Everybody else thought it wouldn’t be broken anyway.”[30:45 onwards]

The Undertaker personally thinks that someone other than Brock Lesnar could have ended the streak, creating a moment that would have been remembered for more positive reasons than his unimpressive match against the Beast Incarnate.

According to Rhea Ripley, a Triple H vs. Ric Flair match was the catalyst for her interest in wrestling. See her thoughts below.
