Unexpected major WWE superstar surprisingly costing Cody Rhodes title match versus Roman Reigns is possible, says legend

WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray proposed a situation in which Triple H could potentially interfere and prevent Cody Rhodes from winning his championship match at WrestleMania XL.

The American Nightmare will get his last opportunity to claim the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship from Roman Reigns in the main event of this year’s Show of Shows. The rules for the match will be determined by the outcome of a huge tag team match between Rhodes and Seth Rollins against Reigns and The Rock on the first night. If Rhodes and Rollins lose, the match will be held under Bloodline Rules.

Despite widespread anticipation that The Final Boss will interfere in the championship match, Bully Ray suggested on the Busted Open podcast that The Game may be the one to prevent Rhodes from getting a shot at the title.

“Imagine The Rock is in the ring and he’s about to do Cody Rhodes in on night two, ‘Time to play the game.’ Boom, that f***ing place explodes. Hunter comes down, he’s face to face with Rocky, turns around, boot on Cody, Pedigree. Roman comes in, one, two, three. And now the story becomes the Attitude Era versus this new era. Veteran insists Cody Rhodes is the rightful Undisputed WWE Universal Champion

According to wrestling veteran Matt Morgan, Cody Rhodes must conclude his narrative and emerge victorious at WrestleMania XL to become the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, in contrast to Bully Ray’s proposed scenario.

The ex-superstar expressed on the Gigantic Pop podcast that he would be devastated if The American Nightmare were to be defeated by Roman Reigns.

“[Do you think Cody should win the title?] Abso-flipping-lutely. Yes, yes, yes, yes. I will be irate if he doesn’t. I’ll be heartbroken if he doesn’t,”he said.

Just a few weeks back, Rhodes made a promise on RAW to become the champion and present it to his mother. However, The Rock declared that the only belt “Mama Rhodes”would receive is his weight belt stained with her son’s blood.
