“He don’t be knowing”: “Yeah Glo!” Hitmaker GloRilla pokes fun at LeBron James’ infamous fumbling song lyrics

LeBron James is a huge fan of rap music and has developed close connections with several of the industry’s biggest names. During an interview, he expressed his admiration for rappers such as Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Jay-Z, The Notorious B.I.G., and Nas, stating that they are among his favorites. Additionally, the talented basketball player has been seen rapping along to some of Drake’s most popular songs.

Despite his passion for rap, he has a tendency to stumble over the lyrics in certain songs. With a dedicated fanbase that closely follows all of James’ posts, it has not gone unnoticed that he frequently struggles with getting the words right. While he may be able to brush off these mistakes on occasion, they often result in humorous trolling from his fans.

During the “Club Shay Shay”podcast, Shannon Sharpe, the host, inquired about LeBron James featuring rapper GloRilla’s hit song “Yeah Glo!”on Instagram. The artist and her family were overjoyed by this gesture and she mentioned that her phone was constantly buzzing after “King James”shared it on IG.

Sharpe informed her that he was not familiar with any of the words. In response, GloRilla said:

The video started playing at 1:07.

The video began at the 1:07 mark.

“He knew the words! He did! I watch LeBron [James] rap songs and not know the words, for real. He knew “Yeah Glo!” … He probably ain’t singing some words but that was good for him ‘cause he don’t be knowing. He knew more words than usual when he was singing “Yeah Glo!” I feel crazy.”

The video featured LeBron James most likely at the LA Lakers’ gym before a workout. He appeared to be motivating himself by listening and singing along to GloRilla’s “Yeah Glo!”While his energy and confidence were evident, he once again stumbled over some of the lyrics.

Two years ago, a video of the former Cleveland Cavaliers star singing Travis Scott’s “Sicko Mode”in a low and indistinct way spread rapidly on the internet. James enthusiastically danced along and even attempted to rap a few lines, but it was soon pointed out that he had made mistakes in the lyrics.

GloRilla’s Top Pick: Kobe Bryant vs. LeBron James

During her interview with Shannon Sharpe, GloRilla emphasized multiple times that she comes from a family who shares a passion for sports. She mentioned that a large number of them enjoy watching basketball for extended periods of time, making her quite familiar with the NBA.

She voluntarily informed Shannon Sharpe without any prompting:

“[LeBron James] not one of the best, this is the best player in the league right now. Kobe [Bryant] my favorite player then LeBron [James] after him.”

GloRilla is well acquainted with the last two superstars of the LA Lakers. Prior to James joining the team, the beloved Kobe Bryant was the talk of Tinseltown. Following his retirement, the city and franchise were taken over by “King James”.
