Park Myung-soo Expresses Regret for Turning Down BTS Jin’s Late-Night Drink Invitation
On November 9, 2024, South Korean media outlet TV Report shared an intriguing revelation from entertainer Park Myung-soo. During his segment on Park Myung Soo’s Radio Show, aired on KBS Cool FM, he expressed his regret over missing an opportunity to join BTS’ Kim Seok-jin for a late-night drink, shedding light on their unexpected interaction.
A Missed Connection with BTS’ Jin
Park Myung-soo recounted a time when he attempted to reach out to the singer known for his track I’ll Be There, but his call went unanswered. Three days later, he received an unexpected call from Jin around 10:40 PM, inviting him for a drink. Park Myung-soo fondly described the moment:
“I have a soft spot for Jin; I genuinely appreciate all the members of BTS, including Jungkook and J-Hope. I reached out to him regarding a specific matter, but he didn’t answer. Then out of the blue, I got a call from him late at night, and he asked, ‘What are you doing, hyung? If you’re free, let’s go out for a drink.’”
Despite the tempting invitation, Park Myung-soo declined, citing that he was ready for bed. He further elaborated on his feelings regarding Jin’s approachable demeanor:
“I told him I needed to sleep. At that moment, I felt an overwhelming heaviness, and I didn’t step out. I truly regret that decision. I would go out even at dawn if he called me now. He feels very human, not like the typical celebrity.”
Updates on Jin’s Solo Endeavors
Reflecting on his flourishing solo career, Jin recently released his latest single I’ll Be There on October 25, 2024. This track serves as a prelude to his upcoming debut mini-album titled Happy, set to launch on November 15, 2024, featuring the title track Running Wild.

Post-discharge, Jin garnered significant recognition, including being selected as one of the 10,000 torchbearers for the Olympic Flame during the 2024 Summer Games in Paris. He made history as the first Korean artist to carry the Olympic torch, showcasing this honor at the Louvre Museum on July 15, 2024.
In addition to these accomplishments, he was appointed as the inaugural global ambassador for the esteemed French jewelry brand FRED in July. Following that, in August, he became the global ambassador for Gucci, and in October, he took on similar roles for ALO and LANEIGE.
