Disappointing News for Windows Insiders: A Week Without New Builds
This week brings unfortunate updates for Windows Insiders, as Microsoft has confirmed that no new preview builds—neither Dev nor Beta—will be released. Additionally, the Canary Channel is currently unavailable due to a significant bug, halting any new testing features that were projected to launch this week.
Hello #WindowsInsiders, no Dev or Beta flights today but we’re hoping early next week. And sadly, Canary is blocked again due to another bug that impacts a lot of functionality that makes using your PC to do even basic things difficult. We have the fix now for next week.

Brandon LeBlanc, a senior program manager for the Windows Insider Program, elaborated on the situation via a post on X, clarifying that the bug affecting the Canary Channel significantly hinders several core features. These include essential functions like Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, as well as camera operations that are crucial for Windows Hello and other applications.
It’s hard to describe in a post but it impacts functionality across the OS ranging from Bluetooth and Wi-Fi to connecting USB accessories and even your onboard camera (which impacts Windows Hello on PCs too).

While delays in the Windows Insider program are not uncommon, this situation is particularly disappointing. Just days before this announcement, Microsoft had teased new AI enhancements for Windows 11. Enthusiasts and testers are eagerly awaiting the implementation of features such as the AI assistant integrated within the Settings app. All eyes will be on upcoming builds next week, where there is hope for the release of these anticipated features.
