Microsoft plans to introduce a new system that allows IT admins to set criteria once, subsequently automating the generation of a “Trust Score.”This enhancement, expected to roll out in February 2026, seeks to expedite the decision-making process relating to AI agents.
Updated Naming for Microsoft Edge Features
Moreover, Microsoft Edge will witness a rebranding of specific features in an effort to clarify their purpose. The “Efficiency mode, ”which offers Balanced and Maximum resource savings, will be renamed to Energy Saver. Meanwhile, the mode designed to optimize PC gaming by reducing resource usage will become PC Gaming Boost. These changes aim to provide clearer communication regarding functionality and are set to be implemented in January 2026.
Advancements with Microsoft 365 Copilot
Lastly, the Microsoft 365 Copilot is gearing up for an update that will allow users to share summaries of shared files directly within the sharing dialog. This feature promises to enhance productivity by providing quick insights into the content being shared, making it easier for recipients to understand the material at a glance. Availability is slated for January 2026 in both File Explorer and the OneDrive Activity Center.
