To uncover these hidden treasures, players need to utilize specific rune abilities obtained by completing trials in the shrines scattered throughout the area. Here are the required rune abilities:
- Magnesis from the Oman Au Shrine
- Bomb from the Ja Baij Shrine
- Cryonis from the Keh Namut Shrine
- Stasis from the Owa Daim Shrine
Feel free to explore as you encounter chests, but for a streamlined experience, use the interactive map below. It clearly marks each chest, making it easier for you to find them throughout the Great Plateau.
Chest #1

This duo of chests is located in a pond near the Oman Au Shrine. Since Link cannot dive underwater and Cryonis can only create surface pillars, you will need to use Magnesis to lift these chests out from the depths. Once on dry land, simply open them to claim your treasures.
Chest #2

The second chest awaits you in a frigid lake north of the Keh Namut Shrine. Unlike the previous chest, this wooden one cannot be moved directly with Magnesis. Instead, create a path out of ice by using Cryonis to build pillars. You can then use one of the pillars to raise the chest above water and claim it.
Chest #3

Located near the Owa Daim Shrine, this chest is blocked by a large boulder. Instead of trying to push the boulder, employ Stasis to freeze it. Then, strike the boulder repeatedly to send it flying away and access the chest once the time resumes.
Chest #4

This collection of chests is situated southeast of the Oman Au Shrine, on a high platform above a muddy lake. To access them without getting stuck, create ice pillars with Cryonis that connect the sloped bank to the platform above. Once you jump across, open the chests to gather your rewards.
Chest #5

The final chest is located just outside the Eastern Abbey, near the Ja Baij Shrine. Here, you’ll find a submerged metal chest in a small pond. Activate Magnesis to extract it from the water and place it on dry ground to open and claim the contents.
Once you’ve collected all the chests in the Great Plateau, consider moving on to your next adventure. Be sure to acquire the Paraglider from the Old Man, and make your way to Kakariko Village to meet Impa. Not only will this help you earn rupees, but it will also prepare you for formidable foes like the Guardians.
