The seven-member K-pop sensation, Close Your Eyes (CYE), is gearing up for the release of their highly anticipated new album, confirmed by their agency Uncore on March 23. Fans can expect this fresh musical offering in April, although specific details about the release date, album title, and tracklist remain undisclosed at this time.

According to Uncore, the group is in the “final stages of production”for the album, which promises to showcase their evolving identity and broadened musical range. This upcoming project will mark CYE’s first release of 2026 and the fourth overall since they debuted in April 2025.
Background of CYE
Close Your Eyes was formed through the JTBC survival program “Project 7, ”which aired from October to December 2024. The final lineup was determined by an impressive fan voting process, with over 17 million votes cast, reflecting the group’s significant popularity from the very beginning. The members include Jeon Minwook, Ma Jingxiang, Jang Yeojun, Kim Sungmin, Song Seungho, Sakurada Kenshin, and Seo Kyoungbae.
Notable Discography and Achievements
Since their debut, CYE has released three mini-albums—Eternalt (April 2025), Snowy Summer (July 2025), and Blackout (November 2025).Each project has shown remarkable growth in sales:
- Eternalt: Over 310, 000 copies sold in the first week.
- Snowy Summer: Achieved over 200, 000 sales on the release day alone.
- Blackout: Surpassed previous records with 570, 000 copies sold in its first week, leading to cumulative album sales over 1.2 million.
The group has also garnered recognition with five rookie awards throughout 2025, including prestigious accolades such as the Hottest Artist Award at The Fact Music Awards and the New Wave Artist Award at the TikTok Awards. Their mini-album Blackout reached an impressive second place on the United World Chart, making it the highest-ranking album among boy groups that debuted in 2025.
Global Tour and Evolving Sound
Recently, CYE embarked on their first world tour titled “Beyond Your Eyes, ”beginning with two spectacular nights at Olympic Hall in Seoul on January 31 and February 1, 2026. The tour has since expanded to Japan, with upcoming performances scheduled in Canada, Malaysia, and Russia.
In a recent interview with CNN, Jeon Minwook hinted at the group’s dynamic sound evolution, stating, “What I can affirm is that we’ve delved into a variety of sounds, so what we’ll unveil in 2026 will undoubtedly be something refreshingly new and unexpected, ”according to CNN.
