Former NMIXX member Jini is stepping into the spotlight as she embarks on her acting career in the highly anticipated dystopian neon-noir film “Boy.” Scheduled to debut in South Korean theaters on January 14, 2026, this film marks a significant transition for the young star.
International Acclaim Before Domestic Release
Even before its local premiere, “Boy” has captured international attention. The film was officially invited to the 35th Fancine Fantastic Film Festival at the University of Málaga, Spain, where it premiered in November 2025. This recognition highlights the film’s quality and the interest it has generated, receiving a warm reception from audiences in Spain.
A Glimpse into the Dystopian World of “Boy”
Set in the near-future fictional city of Pogu, “Boy” explores themes of love and chaos through its narrative at Texas Hot Springs, a place that becomes a dystopian refuge for the abandoned.
