Former WWE writer provides major update on The Rock’s future after WrestleMania 40

The Rock’s schedule during WrestleMania 40 will be packed as he takes on various roles. On the first night, he will join forces with his cousin Roman Reigns to face Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins. If they are victorious, he will also be present at the main event on Night 2, as the Bloodline Rules take effect. However, what are The Final Boss’ plans after WrestleMania?

Despite the constant speculation about his schedule, it is not uncommon for Hollywood megastar, The Rock, to swiftly transition from his WWE on-screen role. According to Brian Gewirtz, a former WWE head writer and current Senior Vice President of The Rock’s Seven Bucks Productions, there is new information about The Final Boss’ future.

After the March 25 episode of RAW, Gewirtz spoke to ESPN and revealed The Rock’s plans following WrestleMania 40. According to Gewirtz, Dwayne Johnson intends to remain involved with WWE in the future. Additionally, he emphasized that The Brahma Bull has no intention of retiring immediately after ‘Mania.

“But I do think there’s gonna be a Rock presence in WWE going forward until whenever he doesn’t want to. I could definitely say that this isn’t [over a] day after WrestleMania and I’m gonna go off into the sunset now,”said Gewirtz. [H/T: ESPN]

Without a doubt, the WWE Universe will be thrilled by this news. Dwyane Johnson has undeniably fulfilled his promise of bringing excitement back to pro wrestling. We can only hope that Gewirtz’s statements hold true and that The Final Boss will continue to appear in WWE.

Cody Rhodes Compares The Rock to Hollywood Hulk Hogan

Despite facing many challenges at WrestleMania 40, one of The Rock’s biggest hurdles is Cody Rhodes. In recent weeks, their hostility towards each other has escalated, with The Final Boss causing severe harm to The American Nightmare. Some may even argue that this incarnation of The Rock is exceptionally merciless.

In a recent appearance on First Take, Cody Rhodes shared his thoughts on Johnson’s return. He spoke with Stephen A. Smith and Christine Williamson about the character of The Final Boss, and expressed his belief that this comeback has enhanced the grandeur of WrestleMania. Rhodes even drew comparisons between this iteration of Rock and Hollywood Hulk Hogan.

Despite their differences, there are undeniable similarities between the two characters. The WWE Universe is once again torn between showing love or hate towards The Final Boss, reminiscent of the reaction towards Hollywood Hulk Hogan in the past. It remains to be seen if he will receive a similar reception as Hollywood Hogan did at WrestleMania 40.
