EXO Unveils Eighth Studio Album “Reverxe”Featuring Dynamic Title Track “Crown”
K-pop sensation EXO has made a highly anticipated return with the launch of their eighth studio album, Reverxe, which hit shelves on January 19, 2026. The standout title track, Crown, showcases the distinctive SM Music Performance style that fans have come to love.

The six-member ensemble—comprising Suho, Chanyeol, D. O., Kai, Sehun, and Lay—brings Crown to life with a unique blend of trap beats, heavy metal guitar riffs, and energetic electronic dance elements. Absent Members and Recent Developments
Notably, three members—Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin—are absent from this release due to ongoing contract disputes with SM Entertainment, as noted by Donga. Their return also coincides with the completion of military service for all active members, with Sehun concluding his service in September 2025. Additionally, this marks Lay’s comeback to the group since 2018 when he initially pursued solo endeavors in China.

Reverxe encompasses a total of nine tracks, each highlighting the group’s remarkable vocal versatility across various genres. Besides Crown, the album features energetic songs like Back It Up, which was performed at the Melon Music Awards in December. Other notable tracks include Crazy, Suffocate, Moonlight Shadows, Back Pocket, Touch & Go, Flatline, and I’m Home.

Featuring eight backup dancers and innovative 3D effects that complement EXO’s fictional universe, the choreography includes a notable signature move where all members simultaneously don crowns, emphasizing the song’s theme.
Commercial Success and Upcoming Events
Upon release, Reverxe achieved remarkable commercial success, ascending to the number one spot on the iTunes Top Albums list across 35 countries. Furthermore, it attained double platinum status on China’s QQ Music platform. To celebrate their comeback, the group hosted a live show at Kyung Hee University in Seoul on the release day, marking their first in-person interaction with fans in over two years, as reported by CNA Lifestyle.
During this memorable event, group leader Suho announced plans for a tour scheduled for April to commemorate their 14th anniversary, although it remains uncertain whether all members will participate in the tour.
