Alienware has launched the latest iteration of its Area-51 Desktop PC, boasting the formidable AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 CPU, with a starting price tag of $4, 299.

The new Area-51 Desktop is equipped with cutting-edge AMD Ryzen 9000 and 9000X3D CPUs. Tailored for pre-built gamers, this gaming PC features a full ATX hardware architecture that promises exceptional performance.






With the introduction of the Ryzen 9 9950X3D2, the Area-51 Desktop now offers speeds up to 5.6 GHz, harnessing the power of AMD’s second-generation 3D V-Cache technology. This upgrade significantly enhances the cache to 208 MB via dual stacked dies.
Designed for ultimate flexibility, the Area-51 Gaming Desktop supports high-performance customization, featuring configurations with up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 GPU, 64 GB of DDR5 RAM, and up to 4 TB of storage.
This desktop is powered by an ATX motherboard utilizing the AMD AM5 socket and the X870E chipset, which incorporates a 10+2+2 phase VRM design. It includes three PCIe slots (1× Gen5 x16, 1× Gen4 x2, 1× Gen3 x1), supporting memory options of 32 GB and 64 GB with speeds up to 6400 MT/s. Storage configurations are extensive, ranging from 1 TB to 12 TB across multiple M.2 slots.

The chassis design offers 80.5L of space and is equipped with Alienware’s AlienFX lighting system. Power options include either an 850W or 1500W PSU. The cooling solutions consist of a pre-installed 240mm or 360mm AIO, with an option to upgrade to a self-purchased 420mm AIO. Remarkably, this model operates 13% cooler, 45% quieter, and achieves 25% increased airflow compared to its predecessors. The chassis accommodates GPUs measuring up to 450mm in length and four slots wide.

In total, this system can sustain over 200W for the CPU and up to 600W for graphics during peak load times. It also embraces modern connectivity solutions with built-in 2.5GbE LAN, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and a diverse array of USB Type-C and Type-A ports.


The base model of the Area-51 Desktop, equipped with the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 CPU, an RTX 5070 GPU, 32 GB RAM, a 1 TB Gen5 SSD, and an 850W PSU, is available from $4, 299. Meanwhile, fully configured models with an RTX 5090 GPU, 64 GB DDR5 memory, 4 TB Gen5 SSD, and a 1500W PSU are priced above $7, 000.
