In an unprecedented collaboration set to conclude 2025, the popular educational app Duolingo has partnered with Genshin Impact, a leading free-to-play open-world action RPG developed by HoYoverse. Known for its gacha game mechanics, Genshin Impact has transcended the mobile gaming sphere to become a recognizable name worldwide.
Both applications share some aesthetic similarities, including vibrant color schemes and iconic cartoon characters. However, one might question how their gameplay mechanics can intertwine, given their stark differences.
We’re here to clarify how to navigate the Genshin Impact x Duolingo crossover event quests and secure your rewards. Read on to learn more!
Participating in the Genshin Impact Quest on Duolingo
The Genshin Impact crossover event is hosted within the Duolingo app, where successfully completing tasks can yield rewards for Genshin Impact players.
To begin, you must have active accounts for both apps. If you’re a Duolingo enthusiast who does not engage with Genshin, yet craves the aesthetic of the Paimon & Duo Statue reward, that’s perfectly acceptable.
To activate the quest, launch Duolingo and go to the Quests tab. Be aware that the user interface may vary slightly but typically shows a treasure chest icon at the bottom of the screen on mobile devices.
Upon your first visit to the Quests tab during this event, you’ll receive a prompt asking if you wish to join the Genshin Impact Quest. If you’re interested in claiming rewards, select Join the Quest.
Your participation will append the Genshin Impact Quest to your Duolingo quest log. Remember, the event spans from December 8th to December 27th, 2025.
To fulfill the quest, simply maintain your learning streak by completing lessons for three consecutive days within the three-week timeframe. Yes, you only need to accomplish one Duolingo lesson each day for three continuous days to qualify for all rewards.
This quest is available to both free and premium Duolingo users and covers all courses, including languages, music, math, and chess. However, it’s important to note that availability is limited to certain regions. The best way to check if your area has access is to open the app and see if the quest activation option appears.
Redeeming Your Duolingo Rewards in Genshin Impact
As previously mentioned, successfully completing the quest allows you to receive a captivating Paimon & Duo statue, which can serve various aesthetic purposes in Duolingo. Personally, I’m currently on a 786-day streak, and even I remain uncertain about the exact function of these statues!
The significant attraction, however, lies for Genshin Impact players who can look forward to acquiring the following exclusive rewards:
- “Diligent Study”avatar (exclusive)
- “Celebration: Dream Reader”name card (exclusive)
- “Spiced Fried Chicken”dish and corresponding recipe (exclusive)
- 60 Primogems
- 2 Hero’s Wit
- 4 Mystic Enhancement Ore
After completing the quest, you can claim your rewards by visiting the Shop tab in Duolingo, which can be accessed from the menu at the top of the main screen—look for the blue gem icon.
In the Shop, find the Genshin Impact Reward item to obtain your unique reward code. You can then copy this code and redeem it on the Genshin Gift website (refer to our guide for detailed instructions) and subsequently retrieve your rewards through in-game mail.
Keep the following dates in mind: You must activate your code from the Duolingo Shop by December 30th, and redeem it via Genshin Impact’s code redemption process by January 31st, 2026. After redemption, you will have 30 days to access your rewards via the in-game mailbox.
Enjoy this extraordinary crossover while you ponder the whimsical nature of the green-hued fried chicken!
