Technical Specifications

The M5 chipset is undeniably the highlight of the new MacBook Air. This powerful chip features a 10-core CPU combined with a 10-core GPU, along with a neural accelerator integrated into each GPU core. As a result, the M5 MacBook Air can execute AI processes up to 4 times quicker than its predecessor, the M4 MacBook Air, and up to 9.5 times faster than the original M1 MacBook Air.

Additionally, the M5 GPU boasts upgraded shader cores and incorporates a third-generation ray-tracing engine, significantly enhancing performance in gaming as well as 3D rendering applications. With a unified memory bandwidth reaching 153GB/s, this new chipset offers a remarkable 28 percent increase in performance compared to the M4.
