Xbox Announces Exciting New Xbox Game Pass Titles for January 2026

As we gear up for the highly anticipated Xbox Developer Direct 2026, there’s exciting news for gamers: an impressive lineup of 10 new games is set to join the Xbox Game Pass this January, continuing into February. Among these titles are standout additions like Death Stranding: Director’s Cut, Warhammer 40, 000: Space Marine 2, and The Talos Principle 2.

Subscribers are in for a treat this month, with a whopping total of 17 new games becoming available. One user on a gaming forum praised the beginning of January as a “damn good month, ”while another enthusiast on ResetEra described the latter portion of the month as offering a “really good batch”of games. Importantly, those subscribing to the Ultimate tier will miss out on only three titles, while the Essential tier doesn’t gain access to any of these new releases.

Since Microsoft restructured the Game Pass offerings and increased subscription prices, the Essential tier is increasingly viewed as only viable for players who want basic cloud services and online multiplayer. To fully enjoy the Game Pass library, gamers are encouraged to subscribe to at least the Premium tier, demonstrating that Microsoft is intent on clearly differentiating their tiers by the value they provide.

Interestingly, while the Essential tier may appear underwhelming, Microsoft is effectively promoting the PC Game Pass. For those who play primarily on PC, this option provides a tremendous value, granting access to the same expansive library available to Ultimate subscribers at a significantly reduced price.

For those opting for an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or Premium subscription, there’s a fantastic lineup ahead: alongside titles like Space Marine 2 and The Talos Principle 2, players can look forward to the 2024 indie sensation Indika, the highly-rated 2025 title, Ninja Gaiden Ragebound, and the unique driving simulator, RoadCraft.

Make sure to play the following titles before they leave the service on January 31:
