In The Forge, players engage extensively in combat, requiring a variety of weapons to efficiently tackle mobs. The game’s unique feature is the full weapon-smithing process, which includes gathering ores and smelting them through a mini-game before facing off against formidable creatures. With numerous options for combat gear, selecting the ideal weapons can be overwhelming; hence, this tier list is designed to rank each weapon from the most powerful to the least effective.

The Forge Weapons Tier List

Each weapon in The Forge is evaluated based on three main attributes: damage per hit, attack speed, and area of effect. This tier list arranges the weapons based on their overall performance, allowing you to craft according to the available blueprints in the game.

The SS-tier weapons represent the pinnacle of combat power, seamlessly defeating bosses with ease. Following closely, the S-tier weapons perform admirably across different worlds, especially when created using Legendary and Mythical ores, enhancing their capabilities with added passive traits.

Moving down the list, A-tier weapons are robust choices, capable of inflicting significant damage (for instance, the Dragon Slayer delivers 22 damage per hit). However, their slower attack speeds can be a disadvantage compared to S-tier options. Notably, Excalibur, despite its slower rate, maintains the highest damage per second (DPS) in the game, making it a worthy S-tier contender—especially when enchanted to speed up attack rates. To boost the performance of slower A-tier weapons, consider equipping ATK SPD runes.

B-tier weapons are sufficient for taking down minor foes found in Stonewake’s Cross and the Forgotten Kingdom. In contrast, C-tier weapons (primarily daggers) are the least effective and should only be utilized in the absence of better alternatives.

The Best Weapons in The Forge, Explained

Player's weapon inventory in Roblox The Forge

Players in Roblox can choose from a total of 54 weapons spread across 10 categories. Here’s an optimal combat setup tailored for all players, from novices to seasoned veterans.

Early-game Weapon Build

During the initial stages in Stonewake’s Cross, players face limited weapon options, yet some stand out. The best early-game weapons include the Gauntlet, particularly favoring the Ironhand over Boxing Gloves due to its faster attack rate. The Falchion also proves to be a reliable choice. It’s advisable to steer clear of other sword variations like the Katana or Great Axe, as their slower attack speeds can leave players vulnerable to enemy attacks.

The recommended setup allows players to effectively defeat monsters in the Goblin Cave. Crafting requires 9 Poopite for a Gauntlet or 6 Poopite for a Falchion. Poopite is a preferred starter ore due to its high multiplier and poison damage, making it superior to other World One minerals.

Mid-game Weapon Build

Progressing to the Forgotten Kingdom unlocks an array of new weapons, but be prepared for tougher enemies. Weapons such as the Falchion or Ironhand, when upgraded with World Two ores, remain strong contenders. However, the Rapier and Chaos are highly recommended mid-game weapons due to their quick attack capabilities, allowing players to down mobs in Volcanic Depths effectively in just a few strikes, provided they are crafted to masterwork quality.

For maximum damage output, consider crafting the Rapier or Chaos using 6 Darkryte, Demonite, and/or Magmite. While these ores are rare, alternatives like Eye Ores, Rivalite, Fireite, and Lightite can also enhance battle effectiveness, adding passive benefits such as fire damage and increased crit chances. If you prefer close-range encounters, the Relevator is another excellent weapon option.

Late-game Weapon Build

For players in World Three, specifically in the Frostspire Expanse, the Knight Spear, Compass Spear, or Angelic Spear stand out as the best late-game weapons. These weapons feature impressive attack speeds, extensive area effects, and substantial damage outputs. To optimize their effectiveness, use ores that provide high multipliers and beneficial passives like Snowite and Iceite.

If you have access to The Peak, stock up on native minerals, which are top-tier choices; Suryafal, Heavenite, and Gargantuan are particularly valuable. Otherwise, consider Dark Knight’s Gauntlets or the Hook Blade from the Maze Merchant, or continue with spears like the Trident, Spear, or Demonic Spear employing the same ores. Additionally, the arrival at this new island presents fresh weapon recipes for World 2, making it possible to replace Rapier and Chaos with Candy Cane or Hell Slayer, obtainable during the Winter update. Excalibur serves as a viable option as well; however, be mindful of its slower charge time, suggesting the need for enhancement through ATK SPD stats if you choose this powerful sword.
