WWE RAW before WrestleMania 40 – Best and Worst – Heartbreaking betrayal teased; Roman Reigns finally does something

The latest edition of WWE RAW before WrestleMania 40 had all the elements of a go-home episode. The matches from the red brand received their last bit of promotion, most of which was well-executed. Additionally, several things were also put in place for The Show of Shows.

Despite the overall success of the show, there were a few setbacks on WWE RAW. However, the positives still far outweighed any negatives.

Without any more delay, let’s dive into the key highlights from WWE RAW.

#3. Mixed Bag: Ricochet shines on WWE RAW but is excluded from WrestleMania 40

Unfortunately, there does not seem to be a spot for Ricochet on the WrestleMania 40 lineup. Despite being one of WWE RAW’s most talented high-flyers, he was able to demonstrate his skills and prove his worth on tonight’s episode.

In an amazing showdown, he faced off against Ivar and concluded the match with an astonishing display of physical prowess.

Despite winning with the 630 Splash, Ricochet also utilized a powerful Fallaway Slam against his opponent. This match, however, was not just for show as it served to build momentum for his upcoming appearance in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on SmackDown. At least one good thing came out of this, as Ricochet’s ongoing rivalry with The Judgment Day will persist.

In the near future, Andrade is scheduled to take on the former Intercontinental Champion, possibly on WWE RAW following WrestleMania. This is sure to be another exciting match.

#2. The Fall of Dirty Dom: A Sudden Turn of Events

Mentioning The Judgment Day, it appears that Dominik Mysterio’s tenure in the group may be coming to an end. This evening on WWE RAW, he extended an invitation to Legado Del Fantasma to join them in their clubhouse without consulting anyone beforehand.

Damian Priest was not pleased with Dirty Dom’s actions and even pulled him aside to confront him, making it clear that it was unacceptable.

The evident tension between all members suggests that significant changes are imminent for The Judgment Day. One of these changes may involve Dominik Mysterio officially joining Santos Escobar’s faction, solidifying their partnership beyond WrestleMania 40.

It is uncertain what would happen with Andrade, considering his current on-screen partnership with Dominik. It would be unfortunate for him to part ways with his “family”after their strong bond. Is this all just a ploy for a simple game of darts?

#2. Epic Showdown: Mami and The Man Face Off at WrestleMania

Following their underwhelming confrontation in Ariel Helwani’s studio, Rhea Ripley and Becky Lynch made a triumphant return to WWE RAW.

Despite Adam Pearce hiring a group of security guards to keep them apart, the WrestleMania opponents engaged in a massive brawl on the go-home show.

As they attacked the guards, Lynch and Ripley engaged in a fierce battle with each other. The intense fight carried on even after they moved backstage, with Pearce watching on in anger. This was an ideal conclusion to the build-up for Rhea Ripley’s upcoming match against Becky Lynch.

The excitement is at an all-time high, as there are high expectations for the women to deliver an unforgettable performance at WrestleMania 40.

#1. Is Chad’s heel turn inevitable?

Chad Gable’s inclusion in the Intercontinental Championship storyline leading up to WrestleMania 40 could potentially signify a shift in direction.

During WWE RAW, a vignette was shown of him training Sami Zayn for his upcoming match against Gunther. However, it is possible that there is an underlying agenda behind this training.

This implies that Gable may have some influence over his opportunities at WrestleMania 40. What if he harbors resentment towards Zayn for defeating him and desires to defeat The Ring General on his own? This could be a possibility, especially considering Gunther’s off-camera assault on the former Olympian during WWE RAW.

It is possible that Chad Gable’s strong interest in Sami Zayn’s quest for the IC Title is fueled by selfish reasons. However, it is hoped that this is not the case and that he will continue to be a fan favorite when he eventually gets his rematch against Gunther.

#1. Game-changing Arrival: The Tribal Chief Makes His Presence Known

For what seems like an eternity, we have eagerly awaited for Roman Reigns to assert himself as the champion once again. After enduring over a month of being overshadowed by The Rock, The Tribal Chief has finally taken action. While he may not yet possess the same level of intimidation as The Final Boss, Reigns had a strong showing on WWE RAW.

Following the opening of the show by him and The Rock, it appeared that The Big Uce was departing the arena. Nevertheless, during the main event, Roman Reigns made an appearance.

Seth Rollins’ Bloodline Rules Match against Solo Sikoa resulted in a No-Contest due to the interference of Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, The Rock, Cody Rhodes, and ultimately, The Tribal Chief.

The chaos was intense and provided a fitting glimpse into what WrestleMania 40 could hold. Reigns and Rock viciously attacked Rollins and Rhodes, using a weight belt to inflict damage. While not as extreme as the events of last week’s WWE RAW, this beatdown had a powerful impact. It bordered on being uncomfortable, but stopped short of going too far.

The mark of a successful go-home segment is evident. The world is eagerly anticipating the revenge of Seth Rollins and, in particular, Cody Rhodes against The Bloodline. The mission has been accomplished.
