Wrestling legend discusses The Rock’s impact in WWE; how he’s different from Vince McMahon
Dutch Mantell, a wrestling veteran, recently discussed how The Rock has played a crucial role in enhancing the quality of WWE’s product.
The Final Boss has been a significant presence on WWE programming for the past few months. He recently secured a lucrative contract to join the TKO Board of Directors. Since then, he has consistently made appearances on both RAW and SmackDown and is set to team up with Roman Reigns at WrestleMania to take on Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins.
During a recent installment of Story Time with Dutch Mantell, the experienced wrestler noted that the addition of Rock to the TKO Board led to an unexpected and rapid improvement in WWE’s programming. Mantell believed that the Hollywood actor brought a sense of authenticity to the sport, in contrast to Vince McMahon’s decision to reveal the inner workings of the business for tax purposes.
“I don’t think anybody expected WWE to be this good this early. They probably never thought it would be this good ever again. But with The Rock there, he brings the right mindset to the wrestling game. With Vince, it was one story. He was the one that first smartened people up with the State Athletic Commissions and he didn’t want to pay taxes. I don’t blame him there but he said, no it’s all pre-planned, it’s all set up, it’s an exhibition and we’re paying them taxes on something that we’re not. That saved him a lot of money. But now people have it set in their heads that it’s a pre-planned production.”[From 02:54 to 03:49]

On the previous Monday’s episode of RAW, chaos erupted when The Rock made a surprise appearance. In a brutal turn of events, he attacked Cody Rhodes and brought the show to a dramatic close.
The American Nightmare was viciously attacked in the parking lot and left lying in a pool of his own blood. The Final Boss is set to return to the flagship show on Monday night, this time accompanied by his tag team partner and the reigning Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns.
It will be intriguing to witness The Rock’s remarks on the final episode of RAW before WrestleMania.
