After meeting in Charleston, Ons Jabeur inquired about Taylor Townsend’s son, Adyn Aubrey Johnson, and sent him “big kisses.”

Jabeur and Townsend are both participating in the Charleston Open, with the Tunisian aiming to defend her title. Her first match will be against Miami Open winner Danielle Collins, who advanced to the second round after defeating Paula Badosa 6-1, 6-4.

Townsend kicked off her Charleston Open journey by facing fellow American Sofia Kenin in the opening round, triumphing with a 6-3, 6-3 victory. As a result, she has secured a spot in the second round where she will face sixth seed Ekaterina Alexandrova.

A heartwarming interaction between Jabeur and Townsend was captured in a video shared by the official social media account of the Charleston Open. Jabeur asked about Townsend’s son Adyn, whom she affectionately referred to as her “friend.”Townsend shared that Adyn was currently at home and warmly invited Jabeur to meet him at any time.

In response, the former World No. 2 sent Adyn “big kisses.”

“Where’s my friend?”Jabeur asked

“He’s at home. You can visit him after. Anytime”Townsend replied.

“Okay big kisses for him,”Jabeur said.

After their interaction, Taylor Townsend took to social media to share a video of herself and Ons Jabeur, as well as a photo of Jabeur following her on the platform.

“I’m winning.. @onsjabeur,”Townsend added.

However, at the 2021 Indian Wells Masters, Jabeur was able to defeat Collins with a score of 6-1, 6-3, getting her revenge from their previous encounter.

Their most recent meeting took place at the 2022 Miami Open, where Danielle Collins emerged victorious once again by defeating Ons Jabeur with a score of 6-2, 6-4. This win further improved her head-to-head record against the Tunisian to 2-1.
