What is Joel Embiid’s new contract with Skechers? Closer look at former MVP’s latest multi-year endorsement

According to a report by Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium on Tuesday, Joel Embiid will be representing Skechers.

Despite a two-month break to recover from a left meniscus injury that required surgery, Embiid returned to the court on Tuesday night to play against the OKC Thunder while wearing Skechers footwear.

In October, Mike Vorkunov announced that Skechers would be expanding into the basketball market and considering Embiid as their main representative. The talented center for the Philadelphia 76ers, who was previously associated with Under Armour, was specifically chosen for this important position.

Terance Mann, standout guard for the LA Clippers, and Julius Randle, superstar of the New York Knicks, have been announced as the first athletes to sign endorsement deals with Skechers.

Venturing into the world of soccer, the shoe brand has recruited a lineup of notable figures, including Arsenal’s Oleksandr Zinchenko and Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane as part of its team.

Furthermore, the brand has also secured endorsement deals with golfers Matt Fitzpatrick and Brooke Henderson.

Impact of Joel Embiid’s Partnership with Skechers on the Sneaker Industry

Signing Joel Embiid as a partner is a major achievement for Skechers as it aims to compete with strong rivals such as Under Armour, Adidas, Nike and Jordan Brand in the basketball industry.

With seven All-Star appearances, two scoring titles, and one MVP award, Embiid is considered one of the NBA’s top superstars. He is expected to compete for the United States in the upcoming Paris Olympics, drawing worldwide attention and giving fans the chance to see his newest footwear on the international stage.

Performance Analysis: Joel Embiid’s Debut and Return from Injury in Skechers

In his first game back after a nine-week absence due to knee surgery, Joel Embiid scored 24 points and made four crucial free throws in the last 40 seconds, helping Philadelphia take the lead.

His dominant performance led the 76ers to a hard-earned 109-105 win against the OKC Thunder on Tuesday evening.

Despite trailing by 11 points with 7:27 left in the game, the 76ers mounted a fierce comeback. Kelly Oubre Jr.’s well-timed 3-pointer sparked the rally, and Joel Embiid sealed the victory with a series of successful free throws.

Joel’s accuracy from the free throw line was crucial as he made all 12 attempts during the game. His two successful shots from the line gave his team a slim 106-105 lead, and he followed it up with two more to increase it to 108-105, ultimately securing Philadelphia’s comeback win.
