In his latest promo, Drew McIntyre on this week’s WWE RAW made jabs at both CM Punk and Seth Rollins.

The 2024 Men’s Elimination Chamber Match was won by the Scottish Warrior, earning him the status of #1 contender for Seth Rollins’ World Heavyweight Championship. On Night 2 of WrestleMania XL, McIntyre will face off against The Visionary for the title.

In the video package shown on RAW, McIntyre effectively ended CM Punk’s chances of headlining WrestleMania and brought an end to Rollins’ reign as champion.

Take a look at the Monday Night RAW promo featuring Drew McIntyre:

“Look at my eyes, what do you see? CM Punk has no match in Philly. On January 27th, the world lost the opportunity to see an out of shape has been main event WrestleMania. When his brittle, fragile body failed him worse than it did in the UFC.”[0:22-0:47]

Ever since becoming a villain, McIntyre has significantly improved his ability to deliver captivating speeches. He remains one of WWE’s most engaged social media personalities, frequently using his Twitter and Instagram accounts to mock Punk.

At first, it appeared that WWE was setting up a potential match between CM Punk and Seth Rollins for WrestleMania 40. Unfortunately, an injury to The Second City Saint forced the company to alter their plans.

Despite being unable to participate in a potential match at WrestleMania 40, Punk will still have a role in the event. He will serve as a commentator for the World Heavyweight Championship match between McIntyre and Rollins.

The duration of Punk’s absence from in-ring competition will depend on how long he needs to recover.
