VIVO launches stable Android 15, beating Google and Samsung to devices

Exciting news for VIVO flagship smartphone owners! VIVO has reportedly become the first prominent smartphone brand to initiate the rollout of stable Android 15 updates for their flagship devices. Surprisingly, this development occurs ahead of both Samsung and even Google, the creator of the Android operating system itself.

According to various reports shared on the social media platform X, VIVO is distributing a new FuntouchOS 15 update based on Android 15 to its flagship models, including the VIVO X Fold3 Pro, VIVO X100 Pro, VIVO 100, and iQOO 12.

While it is typically Google and Samsung leading the way in terms of the latest Android updates, users are pleasantly surprised to see that, although the official launch date for FuntouchOS 15 is slated for September 30 (just a few days away), some users are already experiencing the Android 15-based FuntouchOS 15 update on their devices.

Currently, Google’s Pixel 9 series is still on hold awaiting their Android 15 update, which is anticipated to be available around mid-October. Meanwhile, Samsung has yet to provide details about the One UI 7 beta update that is based on Android 15.

The FuntouchOS 15 update introduces a myriad of new features to the flagship VIVO devices. This includes AI enhancements such as AI Eraser in the Gallery and a Live Transcribe feature that assists users in following conversations in their preferred language in real-time, in addition to all the exciting features that come with Android 15.

Moreover, the new software update offers partial screen sharing to enhance user privacy and includes native support for satellite connectivity. This update is being rolled out gradually and is expected to reach all devices shortly.
