In The Quarantine Zone: The Last Check, players assume the critical role of identifying and diagnosing symptoms in survivors, categorizing them as either healthy or infected. A variety of tools are at your disposal to assess unique symptoms, but the UV Detection Tower serves as the ultimate instrument for revealing infections that aren’t visible to the naked eye.
Using the UV Detection Tower: A Guide

The UV Detection Tower becomes available on Day 19 of the game, proving essential for uncovering hidden infection symptoms. When activated, this device bathes the surroundings in UV light, illuminating any infectious signs that may be present on either the survivors or their belongings.

To operate the UV Detection Tower, simply press the small button located on the Contraband inspection desk. This triggers the UV light for a brief period, allowing you to conduct thorough inspections of either the baggage or the survivors. After usage, wait a few seconds for the device to recharge before activating it again.

During your inspection, you’ll notice potential signs of infection both on the survivors and their baggage. If you detect any signs on the luggage, you must document it as UV Contraband under the Symptoms tab. This indicates a confirmed symptom of an infected individual, necessitating their transfer to the Liquidation block.

Furthermore, when examining a survivor with the UV Scanner, you might observe a greenish vapor surrounding them or glowing marks illuminated by the UV rays. If you only see vapor and no glowing marks, they can be labeled as safe. Conversely, if any glowing marks are detected, you should promptly log them in the Symptoms tab, which will trigger an immediate assessment for elimination.
