However, users need not worry, as the application will continue to function until at least March 9, 2026, with access to previously scanned documents remaining intact.

On February 9, 2026, Microsoft Lens will be removed from the Play Store and Apple’s App Store, making it impossible to download or search for the app on these platforms. Microsoft has indicated that, following this date, Lens will transition from ‘retired’ to ‘unsupported.’ While these terms may appear similar, ‘retired’ signifies that the app will not receive updates, whereas ‘unsupported’ means any future issues, such as those arising from Android updates, will not be addressed by the company.

This will activate your camera, allowing you to scan images. Once captured, Microsoft processes the image into a document format reminiscent of Lens, offering options for editing before saving it to your OneDrive account.
