The initial version of AirTag was launched nearly five years ago, and now Apple has introduced the second generation, affectionately referred to as the AirTag 2. This iteration comes packed with a variety of vital specifications aimed at improving usability and accuracy.

Key Features of the New AirTag 2

The inclusion of a second-generation Ultra Wideband chip, which is also found in the latest iPhone 17 series and the newest Apple Watch models, significantly enhances the ease of locating items.
An upgraded Bluetooth chip has increased the connectivity range, offering enhanced item retrieval capabilities.
Precision Finding technology now integrates haptic, visual, and audio cues, allowing users to track down lost belongings from distances up to 50% greater than the previous model.
Apple Watch users with Series 9 or newer, as well as Ultra 2 models, will be able to utilize Precision Finding for streamlined tracking.
