The Ryzen AI 400 APUs make their debut in the desktop market, expanding the reach of the Strix Point architecture. Powered by AMD’s advanced Zen 5 CPU technology, these processors incorporate the groundbreaking RDNA 3.5 architecture for desktop-integrated graphics processing units (iGPUs).Furthermore, they introduce the XDNA 2 neural processing unit (NPU), enhancing the capabilities of desktops in artificial intelligence tasks.

The Ryzen AI 5 series presents slightly lower specs, offering 6 cores and 12 threads, boost speeds of up to 4.8 GHz, 22 MB of cache, and a Radeon 840M iGPU with 4 compute units.
