Aketine Locations Guide in Arknights Endfield: Where to Find Them

Locating aketine in Arknights Endfield may not appear paramount at the outset, but it is crucial for crafting explosives later in the game. Initially, the supply of aketine is quite limited, yet as you progress, you’ll gain the ability to produce it at your base by unlocking specific research nodes in your AIC tree. This capability becomes available after completing the extensive chapter titled Paving the Way, which provides fundamental insights into base building.

This comprehensive guide will outline where to find aketine in Arknights Endfield and detail the steps necessary to produce it in your AIC base effectively.

During your exploration of the valley before the first boss battle, we identified two locations rich in aketine deposits. The first is situated north of an area where amethyst can be found, while the second lies just across the chasm in the vicinity of the Valley Transfer point on the map.

Be diligent in gathering every bit of aketine you discover, and return after some time to collect additional resources, as they will respawn. Keep in mind that the adversaries you previously defeated in the valley will also respawn alongside the aketine, so be prepared to face them once more.

In the beginning, you won’t require a vast quantity of aketine. By the time your demand increases, you’ll likely have advanced far enough to produce it at your AIC base.

After unlocking the second tier of AIC upgrade nodes—automatically granted upon completing Paving the Way—you can allocate a research point to unlock the Planting node in the Processing section. However, you must first acquire the Solid Filling upgrade. The Planting node allows you to construct and utilize seeding and planting machines for producing seeds, one of which is aketine.

Though useful, your aketine requires further processing to be suitable for explosive creation. To do this, harvest the plant using a shredder, similar to how you processed ore earlier in your tutorial. This shredding process transforms aketine into powder, which then must be converted into explosives via another unit.

This may seem like a considerable investment of resources and time for an item you may not need extensively at the game’s start. Consequently, it is advisable to wait before allocating research points here until you have unlocked additional nodes in the tree. For example, prioritizing the Power I node enables you to create thermal banks, enhancing your energy capacity. This is one of the reasons why we do not recommend rerolling in Endfield, as it would necessitate restarting this process.
