Top WWE Superstar will suffer an upsetting defeat at WrestleMania XL in a major championship match, predicts Matt Morgan

Experienced wrestler Matt Morgan forecasted that Sami Zayn will not be successful in overthrowing Gunther at WWE WrestleMania XL.

The previous holder of the Undisputed Tag Team Championship emerged victorious in a Six-Man Gauntlet Match on RAW a few weeks ago, earning the opportunity to challenge The Ring General for the Intercontinental Championship at this year’s Show of Shows. Despite widespread belief that Zayn will be the one to dethrone Imperium’s leader and end their historic title reign, Morgan holds a different opinion.

During his appearance on the Gigantic Pop podcast, the TNA legend stated that Zayn winning the Intercontinental Championship would be a downgrade for him, as he was on the verge of becoming the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion last year. Additionally, he also predicted that Gunther would be the victor in their WrestleMania XL match.

“I’m gonna say Gunther [will win at WrestleMania]. I’m gonna say Gunther. (…) But isn’t this still a step down for him [Zayn] even if he wins? He was at the precipice of being our world champion, dude. Like, he was right there,”he said. [1:06:57 – 1:07:22]

Matt Morgan’s Predictions for WWE WrestleMania XL

On Saturday, Sami Zayn is set to face Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship, while Jey Uso and his brother Jimmy will also be competing against each other at WrestleMania XL on the same night.

On the podcast, Matt Morgan accurately predicted that The Bloodline would assist Jimmy in defeating his twin brother and earning the right to boast about beating Jey, who is currently the more accomplished singles competitor.

“‘I feel like Jimmy needs that win more’. Wouldn’t it help him, right? ‘I think outside interference.’ Sure, definitely. Bloodline screws it up somehow again ad nauseam for the 55,000th time. Jimmy gets to go around bragging that he beat Main Event Jey Uso,”he said. [1:05:01 – 1:05:19]
