“There are no brothers or idols in the ring” – Kulabdam vows to set admiration for Nong-O aside at ONE Friday Fights 58

Despite his respect for Nong-O, Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai remains determined to secure a victory.

On April 5, ONE Championship will present ONE Friday Fights 58, featuring the highly anticipated main event between Superbon and Marat Grigorian. The two will finally face off to determine the interim ONE featherweight kickboxing world champion and settle their long-standing rivalry.

While Superbon and Grigorian may be the main attraction of Friday’s event, there are other exciting matchups to look forward to. One of them includes former ONE bantamweight Muay Thai champion Nong-O, who is determined to make a comeback after two consecutive losses. However, this won’t be an easy task as he will be up against a fellow Thai fighter who is currently on a four-fight winning streak, with the last three victories coming by way of KO/TKO.

Like many other Thai fighters, Kulabdam greatly admires Nong-O’s impressive fighting career. However, he remains focused on his upcoming match and expressed this during an interview with ONE: “My goal is to knock out my idol, Nong-O, in our highly anticipated fight at ONE Friday Fights 58.”

“I feel excited. I’m more than happy to fight a former World Champion like Nong-O. But as soon as my foot steps into the ring, I will forget all the excitement because we are professional fighters. There are no brothers or idols in the ring.”

On April 5, the highly-anticipated ONE Friday Fights 58 will be held at the renowned Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. Fans can catch the event, which includes two world title fights, through pay-per-view on watch.onefc.com.

The High-Stakes Battle between Kulabdam and Nong-O at ONE Friday Fights 58

Despite having nothing left to prove in his fighting career, Nong-O remains dedicated to putting on the gloves and delivering captivating fights. His love for the sport, which began years ago, drives him to continue competing. A victory would potentially set him on the path towards another world title.

Recently, Kulabdam expressed his desire for a ONE bantamweight Muay Thai title shot against Jonathan Haggerty if he secures a win. It remains to be seen if the promotion will grant him the opportunity, given that Nico Carrillo, who defeated Nong-O in his last fight, is currently listed as the top contender.

Despite this, Kulabdam has the potential to secure the title shot with a remarkable performance or position himself for a fight against the number-one contender.
