Terence Crawford and Errol Spence Jr. trade words online following Tim Tszyu’s loss to Sebastian Fundora for the WBO title

Terence Crawford is determined to secure his next opponent as he has not participated in a match since his TKO victory against Errol Spence Jr. in July 2023.

Recently, Tim Tszyu and Sebastian Fundora battled for the WBO 154 pound title, with the split-decision ultimately crowning ‘The Towering Inferno’ as the new champion.

Despite being the WBO mandatory challenger at super welterweight, it was anticipated that ‘Bud’ would square off against Fundora next. However, Spence Jr. made a surprise appearance in the ring after the match, sparking a series of online exchanges between ‘The Truth’ and Crawford.

The previous unquestioned welterweight champion shared this on X:

“You lost sir gotta go back to work.”

He proceeded:

“@ErrolSpenceJr sorry buddy you gotta wait in line sir”

This led ‘The Truth’ to write the following statement:

“Idk champ I don’t do lines..”

After experiencing a loss to Crawford in the previous year, Spence Jr. declared his decision to transition from welterweight to super welterweight. Mayweather Promotions CEO Chooses Errol Spence Jr. as WBO Title Contender Over Terence Crawford

Despite their ongoing rivalry, Errol Spence Jr. and Terence Crawford are both vying for the opportunity to challenge Sebastian Fundora for the WBO 154 pound title, indicating that their feud is far from settled.

Despite being the mandatory challenger for the title, ‘Bud’ may not get the chance to fight for it. According to Leonard Ellerbe, CEO of Mayweather Promotions, he believes Spence Jr. will be chosen instead.

The promoter stated that ‘The Truth’ is affiliated with PBC, along with Tim Tszyu and Fundora. In an interview with FightHype.com before Tszyu’s recent title match against ‘The Towering Inferno’, Ellerbe mentioned the following:

“Errol Spence Jr. is family. He has a relationship with PBC, and has had a relationship [for] a number of years. If I’m not mistaken, for one, let me start with: Terence Crawford is a beast. But I think he’s let it be known he’s a free agent and he’s not with the PBC. So I think we know how that goes.”
