In the thrilling world of Dead Rails, players can utilize two primary forms of currency: operational currency acquired from selling valuables during escapes and the crucial Treasury Bonds. These Bonds, depicted as small reddish notes scattered across the game’s ghost towns, are pivotal for purchasing classes, upgrades, and equipment prior to embarking on a run. If you’re eager to collect these valuable Bonds, continue reading as we outline the best strategies for acquiring them in Dead Rails.
How to Acquire Bonds in Dead Rails
Treasury Bonds serve as the key currency that players must farm to excel in Dead Rails. They can be discovered in various locations throughout the game. Understanding where to find these Bonds can significantly enhance your chances of success during a run. Below are the primary locations to locate Bonds:
1. Completing Runs and Challenges
Survive to the end of a run and reap the rewards! Successfully completing a run in Normal mode nets you 10 Bonds, while tackling Nightmare mode rewards you with 20 Bonds. Additionally, don’t overlook the Challenge board in the lobby that lists tasks such as “Tame a Unicorn”or “Bounty Hunter.”Completing these challenges automatically credits Bonds to your account.

2. Looting Towns and Banks
During your escape, you might encounter a ghost town inhabited by zombies. These buildings frequently contain 4-6 Dead Rails Bonds. Equip yourself with a weapon and ride a horse for added mobility when dealing with the zombie threat.
If you spot a Bank among these structures, eliminate the peculiar zombie wearing a long white beard and hat to acquire the bank code, a five-digit password. Use it to open the Bank Vault or opt to blow the vault door with Dynamite. Inside, you can find 4-6 Treasury Bonds, but if the vault sustains damage, your haul may be reduced.
Keep in mind that Sterling Town is unique, as its main buildings are devoid of zombies. However, looting these structures can still yield approximately 4-6 Bonds.

3. Fort Construction Raid
The Fort Construction is located in high-risk zones between 10-30 km or 50-60 km. Ensure you’re well-equipped with firearms and protective armor before venturing in, as you’ll face gun-wielding zombies.

Upon entering, eliminate the zombies and Captain Prescott. Defeating the Captain grants you access to the Vault, where you can find 6-7 Bonds, along with a cannon.
4. The Tesla Lab Raid
Situated around the same distance as the Fort Construction, the Tesla Lab presents its unique challenges. First, collect the body parts of Nikola Tesla to perform a summoning ritual.

Upon completion, you’ll face waves of Scientist zombies. A strategic advantage can be gained by climbing the wheel in the adjacent room and using area-of-effect (AoE) attacks to handle the incoming threats. Afterward, you’ll discover around four Bonds in the central area where Tesla was summoned.
5. Castle Raid
The Castle, located before the 40 km checkpoint, is one of the most dangerous areas due to the presence of Werewolves and Vampires. It is advisable to raid this structure during the in-game morning hours around 4-5 AM for maximum visibility.

Prepare yourself with ample ammunition and armor for a long-range assault. Post-raid, you’ll find approximately 6 Bonds, along with other valuable treasures like Gold, Silver, and the Vampire Knife.
6. Outlaws’ Town Raid
As you approach the final stages of Dead Rails, you’ll encounter Outlaws Town, which is inhabited by armed human enemies. These adversaries include gunslingers and some positioned with turrets in towers.
Approach this area with caution; we recommend using long-range weapons to engage the enemies effectively.

Once the area is cleared, take your time to loot the huts without immediately lowering the bridge. This can yield around 10 Treasury Bonds.
After looting, you can lower the bridge and either prepare for the last enemy wave or wait on a wooden platform until the round concludes.
7. Purchasing Bonds with Robux
If you prefer a more direct method for obtaining Bonds, you can opt to purchase them using Robux. Below is the pricing list for various Bond amounts:
- 5 Bonds: 49 Robux
- 10 Bonds: 79 Robux
- 20 Bonds: 129 Robux
- 50 Bonds: 199 Robux
Although buying Bonds is possible, we recommend collecting them through gameplay since you can easily earn over 30 Bonds in a single run, making purchases often unnecessary.
