Starting the Woolhaven DLC in Cult of the Lamb: A Comprehensive Guide

Cult of the Lamb has seen several updates since its launch, with the Woolhaven DLC being the most significant addition yet. This expansion offers gameplay that rivals the base game, providing players with numerous hours of engaging content focused on cult management and thrilling crusades.

The Woolhaven DLC introduces a fresh area with new missions. Importantly, this content is not automatically integrated into the existing game. Instead, a specific set of steps must be followed to access this new adventure. In this guide, we will outline how to start the Woolhaven DLC in Cult of the Lamb.

Getting Started with the Woolhaven DLC

To initiate the Woolhaven DLC in Cult of the Lamb, players need to overcome the four Bishops and present four distinct items to the Yngya statue. There’s no requirement to defeat The One Who Waits beforehand, making the process a bit more straightforward for players.

Upon returning to the cult, look for Yngya’s statue located on your right side, adjacent to the teleporter. Interacting with it allows you to offer the necessary items. However, keep in mind that you will only unlock Woolhaven after defeating all four Bishops, even if you prepare the offerings earlier.

Required Offerings

To successfully proceed, the Lamb must gather the following items as offerings:

Items	Location
5 Menticide Mushrooms	Grow Mushroom Spore in a Farm Plot. Locate and destroy mushroom patches within Anura. Defeat Mushroom Followers in Anura.
5 Crystals	Harvest crystals in Anchordeep.
5 Spider Silk	Collect from destroyed webs in Silk Cradle.
1 Sin	Absolve a follower from Sin. Defeat a mini-boss while using the Violent Extremist doctrine. Vanquish enemies while under the effects of the Temptation’s Fate Tarot Card.

Note that the Sin mechanic was introduced on January 16, 2024. Therefore, if your save file predates this update, you will need to generate Sin before proceeding with the Woolhaven DLC.

Once you provide the required Crystals, the Lamb will meet Gofernon, who offers to expand the Cult HQ in exchange for Gold Bars. Three upgrades are available, costing 10, 18, and 30 Gold Bars respectively. In total, you will need to gather 58 Gold Bars to achieve all expansions.

Along with a new expansive land comparable in size to the original HQ area, players will also unlock a new follower form resembling Gofernon, adding extra depth to the gameplay experience.

As a precaution, be aware that once you activate the Woolhaven DLC, your save file will be exclusively playable with this DLC installed. Thankfully, the original base game save will be preserved and accessible from the main menu, allowing you to revert if you decide not to continue with the Woolhaven expansion.
