Angel Reese, the standout player for LSU’s basketball team, was present at the Louisiana game between the New Orleans Pelicans and Orlando Magic on Wednesday. She caught attention with her vibrant Balenciaga sneakers while sitting courtside.

Along with her teammate Amani Bartlett, known as ‘Bayou Barbie,’ LSU Lady Tiger was seen wearing a white Balenciaga sweatshirt and a pair of women’s blue runner nylon and mesh sneakers, which are currently priced at $960 on the retail website Lyst.

The Balenciaga Runner sneakers consist of a lightweight and breathable mesh material, combined with an integrated oversized sole that provides effective cushioning and shock absorption, ensuring comfort throughout the day.

Despite Angel Reese’s presence, the home team Pelicans were unable to secure a win against the Magic, losing 117-108. Adding to the disappointment, All-Star Zion Williamson had to leave the game early due to a finger injury.

Despite Angel Reese’s efforts, reigning NCAA champion LSU was unable to advance past the Elite Eight at the NCAA Tournament. The team suffered a 94-87 loss to Caitlin Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes.

NCAA Star Angel Reese Enters WNBA Draft

Prior to attending Wednesday’s game between the New Orleans Pelicans and Orlando Magic in Louisiana, Angel Reese, a standout player for LSU basketball, announced her decision to declare for the upcoming WNBA Draft in an article for Vogue magazine.

At the age of 21, she has announced her decision to turn professional, therefore forfeiting her remaining year of eligibility to play for LSU.

Reese’s decision to move on was based on the fact that she had accomplished all of her goals during her time in college and was ready to embrace new challenges.

During an interview with Vogue, ‘Bayou Barbie’ stated:

“I’ve done everything I wanted to in college. I’ve won a national championship, I’ve gotten (Southeastern Conference) Player of the Year, I’ve been an All-American. My ultimate goal is to be a pro. .. I feel like I’m ready.”

The 6-foot-3 forward began her college journey at Maryland before transferring to LSU for the past two years. During her time at LSU, she guided the Lady Tigers to victory in the 2023 NCAA championship and was recognized as the tournament’s most valuable player.

Throughout her time in college, she maintained an average of 18.6 points, 12.3 rebounds, 1.6 steals, and 1.2 blocks.

According to the most recent mock draft from ESPN, Reese is predicted to be chosen as the seventh overall pick by the Minnesota Lynx, following behind Caitlin Clark from Iowa, Cameron Brink from Stanford, Rickea Jackson from Tennessee, Kamilla Cardoso from South Carolina, Aaliyah Edwards from UConn, and Jacy Sheldon from Ohio State.

Reese’s primary strength is listed as rebounding, however, there are still doubts surrounding her offensive abilities in a professional setting.

The WNBA Draft is scheduled to occur on April 15th in Brooklyn, New York. The Indiana Fever will have the opportunity to make the first selection, with the LA Sparks and Chicago Sky following with the second and third picks, respectively.
