Seth Rollins needs to pay for decade-old incident at WrestleMania 40 for impactful WWE future

Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes will join forces to face off against The Rock and Roman Reigns in an epic tag team match on the first night of WrestleMania 40. Additionally, on Night 2, Rollins, the reigning World Heavyweight Champion, will put his title on the line against Drew McIntyre.

Nine years ago, Rollins made headlines when he successfully cashed in his briefcase during the main event of WrestleMania 31, earning him the title of the “heist of the century”. In a bold move, he pinned Roman Reigns to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. This decision received a mix of reactions from the wrestling community. Now, nine years later, Rollins may find himself facing a different kind of response this upcoming weekend.

The Rock is determined to outdo Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes in their ongoing feud. Should The Final Boss succeed in causing Seth to lose his title at The Show of Shows, the most fitting course of action would be to assist Damian Priest in capitalizing on a weakened champion during or after the World Heavyweight Championship match.

Furthermore, the narrative would be completed by Roman Reigns due to his previous participation in the match years ago. In addition, it appears that Seth Rollins is losing his appeal as his persona has grown stagnant. If he were to lose his championship to the current Mr. Money in the Bank at WrestleMania, it could potentially unveil a more sinister side of Rollins following the event.

Seth Rollins needs to turn back to his villainous ways

During his reign, Seth Rollins lived up to his self-proclaimed title of “workhorse champion.”He participated in every Premium Live Event and defended his championship at every available opportunity. Additionally, he made sure to attend every edition of RAW and even went as far as calling out his former Shield teammate, Roman Reigns, in response to comparisons of their title defenses.

Rollins made a notable transformation a few years back when he began donning vibrant, fluffy attire paired with mismatched boots and eccentric sunglasses. The Visionary later revealed that it was influenced by The Joker’s eccentric personality. Although it eventually became accepted by all, it would be wise for Seth Rollins to contemplate abandoning it.

If the RAW star fails to win the championship at WrestleMania 40, he may choose to temporarily step away from the ring to cope with the loss. Upon his return, he could make a dramatic comeback as a villain, going back to his signature black jacket and dark hair.

Taking a break from WWE television would be a well-deserved opportunity for his commitment to being a hardworking champion over the past year.

The Entire WWE Roster Could Benefit from the Title Loss at WrestleMania 40

Despite being a heel, Damian Priest was still seen as a top star backstage last year after winning the Money in the Bank briefcase in a fierce battle at the event.

The Judgment Day has been facing numerous challenges as of late, as Dominik Mysterio has begun to feud once again with his father, Rey Mysterio. Furthermore, Rhea Ripley is expressing dissatisfaction with the faction’s recent performances. The delay in Priest’s cash-in has caused restlessness among fans, and his standing in the eyes of the WWE Universe seems to be diminishing with each passing day.

If The Archer of Infamy successfully cashes in on Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 40, he will reclaim his position as one of the top WWE superstars. He may even choose to leave The Judgment Day and make a comeback to singles competition.

Drew McIntyre Continues to Represent Scotland at WrestleMania 40

The Scottish Warrior is determined to capture the World Heavyweight Title in all its glory in front of the WWE Universe. In case of any obstacles at WrestleMania 40, Drew McIntyre could have the opportunity to claim the title in his hometown of Glasgow during the Clash at the Castle event.

The Clash at the Castle Premium Live Event is scheduled to occur in Scotland on June 15, 2024. Securing the World Heavyweight Championship in front of his fellow Scots would undoubtedly be a cherished experience for The Scottish Psychopath. Yet, in order for this to become a reality, he must forego his WrestleMania moment this weekend.
