In a recent fiscal report released by SEGA, there are significant updates regarding the anticipated titles Persona 4 Revival and RGG Studio’s Stranger Than Heaven. The documents suggest that both games may not be made available to players until as late as 2027.
Medium-Term Pipeline Insights
SEGA’s presentation detailed what they categorize as their “medium-term pipeline, ” highlighting five upcoming titles which includes Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, slated for a release on September 25, 2025.
In addition to that, the lineup features Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army, which has already launched, and Football Manager, scheduled for 2025. The two most noteworthy projects, however, are Persona 4 Revival and Stranger Than Heaven.
Uncertain Release Dates

Both titles have been designated as “announced titles to be released in or after FY2027/3.” However, it is crucial to note that this does not firmly establish a release date in 2027. SEGA’s fiscal year for 2027 will commence in the calendar year 2026, indicating that there is potential for either or both games to launch in late 2026.
Expectations and Development Timelines
This timeline suggests that fans might have to brace for a wait until 2027 to experience at least one of these eagerly awaited titles. Anticipation for Persona 4 Revival has been building for months, particularly after whispers and hints leading up to its official announcement. Meanwhile, Stranger Than Heaven, which was initially known as Project Century, officially debuted its title during the Summer Game Fest 2025.
Considering the rigorous development cycles associated with modern video game production, a two-year wait for either title appears reasonable.
Looking Ahead
As we move forward, we hope to see more updates about these titles in the near future. However, if SEGA’s development teams are indeed focused on creating these games, we may not hear further details throughout the rest of 2025 as they dive deep into development.
