Sapphire recently introduced an extensive lineup of its custom Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 graphics cards, which are available in three distinct series: Nitro+, Pure, and Pulse.
Introducing the Sapphire Radeon RX 9070 Series: Nitro+, Pure & Pulse Options with Impressive Performance
AMD is set to release its Radeon RX 9070 “RDNA 4″GPUs on March 6th, 2025. In preparation for this launch, independent board partners (AIBs) like Sapphire have begun revealing their innovative designs for the new graphics cards, which include a variety of features aimed at enhancing gaming performance and thermal efficiency.
Sapphire RX 9070 Nitro+ Series: High Performance and Stylish Design
The Sapphire Radeon RX 9070 XT Nitro+ and RX 9070 Nitro+ are designed as robust, triple-slot cooling solutions tailored for the RDNA 4 architecture. The cutting-edge Nitro+ cooler is sizeable and incorporates a proactive triple-fan setup that effectively directs airflow through a substantial heatsink equipped with multiple aluminum fins and six copper heat pipes. Notably, each fan comes with a Quick-connect mechanism for effortless replacement if necessary.

This GPU series showcases a striking champagne gold design featuring triangular cut-outs housing the “Radeon”and “Nitro+”logos. It’s particularly intriguing for RGB enthusiasts, as RGB LEDs offer a visually pleasing ambiance. Additionally, the third fan efficiently channels air through the card, contributing to an innovative flow-through cooling design.
Sapphire is pioneering a hidden power connector feature that streamlines cable management in PC builds. The RX 9070 series bundles a removable backplate with a magnetic cover and includes a dual BIOS switch for flexibility. Furthermore, the GPU employs a 12V-2×6 (H++) power connector, accompanied by an adapter for the three 8-pin connectors required to meet its substantial power demands. The 12-layer PCB design incorporates Fuse protection, ensuring component safety. The GPU also utilizes Honeywell PTM7950 thermal interface material for superior heat dissipation.

Performance-wise, the Sapphire Radeon RX 9070 XT Nitro+ reaches impressive clock speeds of 3060 MHz with a total board power (TBP) of 330W, while the RX 9070 Nitro+ operates at a peak frequency of 2700 MHz and a TBP of 245W.
Sapphire RX 9070 PURE & PULSE Series: Seamlessly Designed for Performance
Sapphire is introducing the aesthetic yet powerful PURE series of the Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 GPUs, both featuring triple-slot and triple-fan layouts. These models benefit from advanced AeroCurve fan blades and an all-aluminum backplate accompanied by a built-in cooling module that integrates five composite heatpipes for optimal thermal management. The PURE series adopts a sleek white finish, representing its commitment to both style and performance.

This GPU features a high Tg Copper PCB design with the same 12-layer (2oz) specification and fuse protection matched by an all-digital power delivery system. The dimensions of these graphics cards are 320mm x 61mm, and they are equipped with two standard 8-pin power connectors. The Radeon RX 9070 XT boasts a peak clock frequency of 3010 MHz while maintaining a power consumption of 317W, and the RX 9070 features a similar configuration at 2700 MHz for 245W.

The PULSE series is recognized for adhering closely to reference specifications, achieving a maximum clock of 2970 MHz at 304W for the Radeon RX 9070 XT, and a peak clock of 2520 MHz at 220W for the RX 9070 variant. Like their counterparts, these models also incorporate a spacious triple-slot and triple-fan design. Sapphire is expected to make these models available for retail starting March 6th, 2025.
