Samsung Is Making Its Customers Happy By Offering Unlimited Battery Repairs To Its Care Plus Protection

Samsung is revamping its device protection program, which is great news for Galaxy owners who have been utilizing the Samsung Care Plus program. Beginning in May 2024, users will have access to unlimited battery repairs through Samsung Care Plus. For those unfamiliar, this program provides various plans to aid in protecting your devices.

Samsung’s Battery Repair Guidelines: A Great Solution for Undamaged Devices

When purchasing an eligible device, you have the choice to enroll in the program within 60 days. This care plan provides more than just the standard manufacturer’s warranty, as it includes unlimited repairs for drops, spills, and mechanical breakdowns. Additionally, there is a $29 screen repair option and, in certain situations, theft coverage. The monthly plans start at $10 and can go up to $18 for a maximum of 36 months. This is Samsung’s method of guaranteeing that their customer service remains top-notch. Recently, the company has announced an enhanced battery policy for their customers.

Samsung Care Plus previously only provided a single battery replacement for eligible devices, with a restriction on mechanical failures. However, the latest update now includes coverage for battery health deterioration, a common issue for all batteries.

If a diagnostic test confirms that the battery capacity of your phone or tablet falls below 79%, you will be eligible for free battery repairs under the Care Plus program. This plan not only covers Theft and Loss, but also provides unlimited repairs during the coverage period, making it a highly desirable option for users who intend to use their devices for an extended period of time.

While users will still have the choice to opt for walk-in repairs, there will also be a mail-in service available for battery repairs. It is still unclear if Samsung will extend this service to address severely damaged batteries, which would certainly be noteworthy.

Samsung has clarified that any external damage or mishandling of the device may result in additional issues, so it is important to take proper care. While I support this decision, it should be noted that the price of the service plan will be increasing by $2 starting in May. This adjustment is reasonable given the excellent repair service being offered by the company.
