PlayStation Showcase to Take Place Next Month, Jeff Grubb Says; Silent Hill 2 Remake Could be Present

According to well-known insider Jeff Grubb, Sony is organizing a new PlayStation Showcase for next month.

During a recent Giantbomb Twitch stream, Grubb mentioned that the upcoming Silent Hill 2 Remake had received an ESRB rating. He also shared that he had heard about a possible PlayStation event in May, such as a State of Play or Showcase, where the game may be featured. This was said by Grubb a few hours ago on the stream.

During a discussion about the release date of Silent Hill 2 Remake, Grubb mentioned, “That’s why I brought up the PlayStation thing in May.”He speculated that if the developers do not announce a release date by then, it is highly likely that a date will be revealed during the event.

When questioned on X about whether this new show falls under the category of a showcase or a State of Play broadcast, Grubb responded that he is more inclined towards a complete showcase.

On the ResetEra forums, John Harker, a verified user, corroborated Grubb’s statement by referencing a previous post he made about an upcoming PlayStation event in May. As he had mentioned in a post from January of this year, Harker stated, “You all were already aware of this,”alluding to Sony’s plans for their own “May E3 show.”He had written back in January, “What will be revealed now and what will be saved for the May “e3″show.”

Grubb had mentioned a potential PlayStation showcase for May last year, and it was later confirmed by Sony for May 24. Therefore, it is likely that Grubb’s prediction will hold true. We will keep you informed as we receive more information about the rumored PlayStation event scheduled for next month.
