Nvidia 552.12 driver has support for Modern Warfare III season 3 and Diablo IV ray tracing

The latest update from Nvidia is now available for owners of GeForce graphics cards. The recently launched 552.12 WHQL-certified driver is specifically designed for gamers and includes support for the latest updates to Activision-Blizzard games. While it may not offer many new features, it is still a significant release for the general public.

The Season 3 content schedule for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III and Call of Duty: Warzone has begun, and Nvidia is already promoting its DLSS 3 performance improvements for these games. According to the company, using DLSS 3 on GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs can result in an average frame rate increase of up to 55% in Warzone.

The highly anticipated Ray Tracing update for Diablo IV is now available, and it is highly recommended to install this driver before experiencing the game’s latest visual upgrade. DLSS 3 can greatly improve performance when enabling the new Ray-Traced Reflections, Ray-Traced Shadows, and Ray-Traced Foliage options, which can significantly impact performance. According to Nvidia, using DLSS 3 on maximum settings with a GeForce RTX 40 Series graphics card at 1440p can result in an average FPS increase of 2.3X.

The driver has only one resolved issue, which pertains to the Resizable BAR profile for the recently-launched port of Horizon Forbidden West by Sony. The optional feature is now stable enough to be enabled while playing the action game.

These are the issues that are currently being addressed:

  • GeForce GTX 10/RTX 20 series: PC may randomly freeze when Windows Hardware- Accelerated GPU Scheduling and NVIDIA SLI are both enabled [4009884]
  • Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition: Lower GPU utilization when Reflex is set to “On + Boost” [4412035]
  • Tekken 8 may randomly crash during gameplay on GeForce GTX 10-series graphics cards. [4503216]
