GroupMe, a popular messaging platform among college students in the United States, became part of the Microsoft ecosystem through its acquisition of Skype. Despite Skype’s impending closure, GroupMe continues to evolve, most recently with the announcement of an exciting new feature: Copilot integration.

This allows group leaders to post messages that everyone in the group or Topic can react to and RSVP for events, making event management more efficient. Group leaders have the option to create Announcement groups or convert existing Topics into Announcement Topics.
