Many in WWE thought 36-year-old star will be “gone” after damaging accusation – Reports
The WWE Universe has been rocked by a recent controversy involving a 36-year-old star. Additionally, a new report has surfaced, indicating that there were expectations within the company for the talent to leave after the accusation was made.
During a NewsNation interview, Ronda Rousey claimed that Drew Gulak had forcibly grabbed the drawstring of her sweatpants while they were backstage at a WWE event. The ex-RAW Women’s Champion also revealed that she had immediately confronted the NXT star after the incident occurred.
On Wednesday, Gulak finally addressed the matter, explaining that in 2022 he had unintentionally touched the drawstring of Rousey’s sweatpants while attempting to shake her hand.
Despite Ronda Rousey’s accusations of inappropriate behavior, Bryan Alvarez mentioned on the Wrestling Observer Radio that there were concerns within WWE about Drew Gulak potentially getting fired.
“It was Tuesday when this story came out and there were people there that thought man, Gulak’s probably going to be gone tomorrow. And he’s not gone.”
Corey Graves responds to Ronda Rousey’s negative comments about the WWE
Recently, Corey Graves, a commentator on SmackDown, discussed The Baddest Woman on the Planet’s remarks about the Stamford-based promotion. Rousey’s new book, Our Fight: A Memoir, contains scathing criticisms directed at former CEO Vince McMahon and other top executives.
“I take everything with a grain of salt. Listen, if you’re in this business for any duration, you get used to letting those sorts of things roll off your back. Everybody has a different experience in the WWE or in the wrestling business. Not everybody accomplishes what they set out to accomplish. Some people never expect to love it and fall madly in love with it.”
