Major WWE star surprisingly turning heel by costing Cody Rhodes huge match at WrestleMania XL is possible, says veteran

Stevie Richards, a seasoned wrestler, believes that Seth Rollins may potentially become a villain by betraying his tag team partner, Cody Rhodes, during Night One of WWE WrestleMania XL.

The World Heavyweight Champion will join forces with The American Nightmare to face off against The Rock and Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns in a highly anticipated tag team match, which will serve as the main event for Night One of this year’s Show of Shows.

On the latest edition of The Brand podcast, Vince Russo asserted that Rhodes should question The Visionary’s allegiance during tomorrow’s RAW. This is due to the fact that the World Heavyweight Champion did not come to Rhodes’ aid when he was assaulted by The Rock on the previous week’s episode. Stevie Richards also proposed the idea that Rollins may turn on his partner and become a villain during Night One of WrestleMania XL.

“If they’re smart, that could be the out on Night One to get Cody even more sympathy. But then you got Seth the next night against Drew and now he’s a major heel for turning on Cody. And then Drew is on his way to turning babyface too because people love what Drew is saying and doing. So, it’s a very weird time,”he said. [6:19 – 6:36]

Will Cody Rhodes have a final showdown at WWE WrestleMania XL?

Cody Rhodes was unsuccessful in his attempt to defeat Roman Reigns and claim the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at last year’s WrestleMania 39. However, he will once again have the opportunity to challenge The Tribal Chief for the title in the main event of Night Two at this year’s Show of Shows.

Despite widespread belief that The American Nightmare will conclude his narrative on April 7, according to former WWE employee Tommy Carlucci, who appeared on a recent episode of Behind The Turnbuckle podcast, the leader of The Bloodline is determined to hold onto his title until he surpasses Hulk Hogan’s record-breaking championship reign of 1,474 days. As of the time of this writing, Reigns has already held the title for 1308 days.

“[‘Do you think that is something that Roman Reigns in some way, shape, or form, is advocating for so he could call himself long-term the greatest Heavyweight Champion or WWE Champion of all time?’] I’m gonna answer that really quick, hell yeah. Because it’s the ego, Coach. And by the way, he would want to go to September to be undefeated because then he would beat Bruno [Sammartino], out, the all-time champion. So, egos are large, Coach. And he makes you know that when he’s cutting promos. So, hell yes, he would love to extend it,”he said.

During the March 22 episode of SmackDown, a heated confrontation took place between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns. Tomorrow, on RAW, the two will once again be on the show as The Tribal Chief and The Rock make their return. It will be intriguing to witness how The American Nightmare will respond, especially after enduring a brutal attack from The Final Boss in the previous week.
