The acclaimed storage manufacturer Kingston has launched a high-capacity version of its DC3000ME Gen 5.0 U.2 NVMe SSD, now offering an expansive capacity of 30.72 TB. This enhancement is timely, as data centers increasingly demand greater storage solutions to support the rapid scaling of AI applications. The new SSD aims to provide enterprise customers with a significant boost in storage capability while enhancing read/write speeds and optimizing power efficiency.

In addition to Samsung’s PM9D3a, the Kingston DC3000ME is among a select few options in the PCIe 5.0 U.2 category to offer such significant storage capacity. It is engineered to deliver a remarkable 14 GB/s in sequential read speeds and supports up to 2.8 million IOPS for random read operations. Although designed for the PCIe 5.0 interface, this SSD retains backward compatibility with PCIe 4.0 platforms, providing flexibility for a variety of systems. Moreover, the DC3000ME integrates advanced features such as on-board power-loss protection and AES-256 encryption, compliant with TCG Opal 2.0 standards.
