“It’s time to finally crown me” – 36-year-old WWE star vows to become champion on WrestleMania XL weekend

At this weekend’s WWE WrestleMania XL, there will be several highly anticipated championship matches. Among the contenders is Dijak, a 36-year-old star who is determined to claim his first championship in the Stamford-based company.

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania will be the host city for WrestleMania XL, which will take place over two nights. Prior to this highly anticipated event, fans will also have the opportunity to enjoy NXT Stand & Deliver, featuring a lineup of exciting matches.

Dijak is set to compete in a Triple Threat Match for the NXT North American Championship at the show, giving him the opportunity to win his first title in the Stamford-based company. His opponents will be Oba Femi and Josh Briggs, making it a challenging match for the 36-year-old star.

Despite being a part of the Stamford-based company for more than seven years, Dijak has yet to make an appearance at any WrestleMania weekend matches for WWE. However, during the most recent edition of NXT, he made his presence known by delivering a powerful message to Oba Femi and Josh Briggs, building anticipation for their upcoming showdown.

“So, let me tell you a story about my WWE career. I was thinking about this earlier. This weekend is WrestleMania weekend. I’ve been here for seven of those, if you can believe it. Guess how many of these weekends I’ve been featured on a premium live event, Mr. PLE himself? Did you guess zero? Guess the answer’s zero, if you can believe that. In 2020, I was supposed to be on my first, but that got canceled due to the pandemic,” Dijak said. [0:01 – 0:28]

Dijak stated that he was one of the most prominent figures in WWE who had not yet claimed a championship title. He expressed his determination to alter this at NXT Stand & Deliver, taking place this weekend.

“This match isn’t just the biggest match physically of the entire weekend. No, it’s the biggest match of my entire career. It’s been kind of a long career. I’m the greatest professional wrestler that’s never held a championship in this company’s history since Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts. Think about that. All I need is this one. This Saturday, at Stand & Deliver, it’s time to finally crown me,”Dijak said. [0:30 – 1:12] [H/T Fightful]
