Despite suffering a recent back injury, Emma Raducanu has been sharing pictures from her off-court behind-the-scenes moments as she recovers.
Despite her talent, the British athlete faced numerous injuries throughout the 2023 season and ultimately had to have surgery on her ankle and both wrists. Consequently, her season was cut short in April.
Raducanu has played in ten matches so far this season, winning five since returning to the court in January 2024.
Despite being given a wild card nto the Miami Open, the Brit was forced to withdraw from the tournament due to a back injury, just before her first-round match against Wang Xiyu. Her management agency informed the BBC that the injury was not a serious one.
On Tuesday, the 21-year-old posted pictures showcasing her off-court moments. Among the photos were ones of her painting, walking with a red Wilson racket bag, and enjoying a meal.
Emma Raducanu participated in the 2022 and 2023 Miami Open tournaments, but unfortunately, she was eliminated in the first round during both events.

Emma Raducanu’s fourth appearance in the Indian Wells Open since turning pro was in the 2024 edition where she last competed.
She started her journey at the Indian Wells Open with a victory over Spanish player Rebeka Masarova in the first round, winning 6-2, 6-3 in straight sets. Her second round opponent, Dayana Yastremska, withdrew from the match during the first set due to a stomach issue. Despite this, Raducanu advanced to the third round where she faced off against the second-ranked player in the world, Aryna Sabalenka. Unfortunately, she was unable to secure a victory and was eliminated in straight sets.
In 2023, Raducanu achieved her best result at the Indian Wells Open when she advanced to the fourth round. Along the way, she defeated Danka Kovinić and Magda Linette in the first and second rounds, respectively. She then faced Brazil’s Beatriz Haddad Maia in the third round, but was ultimately eliminated by World No.1 Iga Swiatek in the fourth round.
Raducanu remains determined to secure her second WTA title, as she has yet to replicate her success at the 2021 US Open in any other WTA tournament. Furthermore, her triumph at the 2021 US Open solidifies her position as the first qualifier in the Open Era to claim a Grand Slam singles title.
