How to use frying table in Minecraft Poisonous Potato update
The yearly April Fools’ Day update for Minecraft has been launched, and it is accessible for players on both Java and Bedrock Editions. The April Fools snapshots always come with unexpected elements, but this year’s release goes above and beyond by introducing a completely new dimension centered around poisonous potatoes.
The theme was selected by the developers to bring attention to the often overlooked poisonous potato item, which had limited use. They converted all aspects of the game to revolve around poisonous potatoes, in hopes of promoting increased player engagement with it.
In this article, we will delve into the usage of the recently added frying table in the Poisonous Potato April Fools snapshot update.
Minecraft Tutorial: Using the Frying Table in the April Fools Poisonous Potato Update
The April Fools snapshot brought a range of peculiar items to Minecraft, including the frying table. Although the game already includes various workstation tables, the frying table stands out with its distinct design. It looks like it’s straight out of a mod and produces smoke just like a regular campfire.
Utilizing the frying table is simple: players have the ability to fry up to four potato peels to create hash browns or bake regular potatoes. The process involves right-clicking on any part of the frying table. Potato peels can be acquired by defeating potato mobs with a potato peeler or using the same tool to shear a sheep.
Despite the existence of 17 different variants of peels, including a corrupted one, cooking any of them on the frying table will always result in hash browns. While they are easy to cook, hash browns are not a very effective food item, as they only restore two hunger points or one drumstick.
Obtaining a Frying Table in Minecraft
The frying table is a workstation block that can be naturally generated in villages located in the poisonous potato biome. For players who have difficulty obtaining this item, it can also be crafted using two iron ingots, two potato planks, one gold nugget, and a stick. This can be done by placing the ingredients on a crafting table, as depicted in the image above.
The lone addition to the necessary components is the potato plank. These planks align with the green theme of the Poisonous Potato update and can be acquired by placing a potato stem in the crafting grid.
Despite its name, the “stem”in the game is actually just like regular wood logs that can be acquired by chopping down the newly added green potato trees. Alternatively, players can also obtain them by harvesting them from village houses or farms. This may initially cause confusion among players.
