Galaxy S23 FE starts receiving One UI 6.1 in India
The long-awaited One UI 6.1 update has now been released for a wider range of Galaxy phones. This highly anticipated update was initially only available for the latest flagship Galaxy S24 series. However, it was not until the end of March that other Galaxy phones could also receive the update. Fortunately, most of last year’s flagship phones have already been updated to One UI 6.1.
The One UI 6.1 update, which was recently released in Europe for the Galaxy S23 FE, is now also being rolled out in India. This marks the first time a budget phone has received the One UI 6.1 update, bringing with it a variety of new features, including AI capabilities.
One UI 6.1, which primarily brings AI features to the Galaxy S24, is a significant update. In India, the update with build number S711BXXU2CXCF is now available for the Galaxy S23 FE. It is a hefty update, weighing 2823 MB, even larger than One UI 6. Credit goes to TechActivist666 for the helpful tip.
The update introduces a range of new features, including Circle to Search, real-time translation for phone calls, translation for conversations, webpage summarization and translation, voice recording transcription, writing assistance, and many more. It’s important to note that not all phones will receive these features; only flagship and select budget phones are eligible for AI capabilities.
As previously mentioned, the One UI 6.1 update is currently being rolled out to the Galaxy S23 FE. If you own a Galaxy S23 FE, you can expect to receive the over-the-air update soon, if you haven’t already. You can check for the update by going to Settings > Software Update. Due to the size of this update, it is recommended to use WiFi for downloading. Additionally, it is important to back up your device before installing the update.
